The “Seton Sisters Society” is an idea brought forth from the need for young girls to understand and embrace true feminism amidst a culture of deceit. It is a social group for girls in 1st – 5th grades that encourages traditional feminine values, facilitates prayer, and explores a variety of topics such as sewing, cooking, art, and others.
Mission: Inspired by the life and mission of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, the “Seton Sisters Society” seeks to foster an understanding of true feminism among Catholic girls in 1st through 8th grades.
Goals:
• To introduce participants to various types of prayer
• To encourage faith-filled discussions among peers.
• To explore a variety of skills, particularly those most useful to women.
• To learn to view art, music, and literature through a Catholic worldview.
Meeting Schedule:
5:00pm Prayer
5:15pm Introduce Month, Saint, and Virtue
5:30pm Activity
5:50pm Closing Prayer
6:00pm Mass
6:30pm Dismissal
