Some examples are: linen care (laundry care specific for each cloth), candles (refilling processional, sanctuary and votive candles and cleaning fowlers and shells), metal polishing (processional cross, wax candle followers, candle stands etc.), Holy Water (stocking water to be blessed, filling and cleaning bowls and vessels), floral arrangements for the Sanctuary, plants (care specific for Christmas and Easter, other plants around the church, cleaning up plant debris), seasonal decorating (crews for unpacking and decorating and repacking after the season is over), sacristy (checking inventory, organizing and cleaning this area). As you can see, this ministry truly is a society! We would welcome your help with any-and-all areas.

This ministry is for Parishioners both men and women who are interested in visiting the Homebound for the purposes of praying and talking to those that cannot attend Mass. It is not necessary to be an Extraordinary Eucharistic Minister to make visits; you can accompany the Extraordinary Ministers on their rounds and help. The Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers bring Holy Communion to those in Nursing Homes, Hospitals, or in their own homes who are unable to attend Mass due to illness, accidents or other infirmities. Anyone participating in this ministry must be in good standing with the Catholic Church, and must be VIRTUS trained (which can be done if you are interested).

Men and women 18 and older take up the collection, assist in helping to find seats for those entering late or for large Masses, offer information, guidance, and supervision of the congregation, and are vigilant of any problems that might develop during Mass. Ushers also help to restore order to the pews and church following each Mass, such as up-righting kneelers, clearing any trash from the pews, and organizing hymnals.

Boys 3rd grade and older serve at God’s altar during the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. This ministry helps the servers enter more deeply into the mystery of the Holy Mass and assist with its celebration. One seeking to serve in this capacity should desire to grow more closely to Jesus in the Eucharist and be an example of faith among friends. Please encourage your children to become involved in this ministry if you see those qualities in them.

Marian Movement of Priests
The Marian Movement of Priests started in 1972 by Servant of God Fr. Stefano Gobbi after a pilgrimage to Fatima. The movement aims to strengthen the church by encouraging clergy and laypersons to consecrate themselves to the Immaculate Heart of Mary through prayer “cenacles” (small groups that pray together). We meet on Tuesdays from 1:00-2:00PM in Martha Mary Social Hall to pray the Rosary and the cenacle prayers. All are welcome! Come weekly or as you are able.

We always need hardworking volunteers (men, women, and families) to help this exceptional group who maintain our extensive property on the church campus and the off-site rectory landscaping. This includes mowing, trimming hedges, edging, weeding, planting, leaf blowing, and applying lawn care products along with many other activities. This group allows the parish to save tens of thousands of dollars every year by not contracting out the work. We are open to individual volunteers and/or families who want to work in small areas based on your time/availability. We divide much of the work into these smaller areas to prevent overwhelm and the timeline is flexible. There are also opportunities for larger jobs for anyone who can dedicate more time.
Allen Lancaster, allengptg23@gmail.com
We invite women of all ages in the parish to be active members of the CCW. This starts with the Holy Rosary followed by the business agenda. CCW has various committees, supports many of the social outreach ministries of the parish, and staffs the Religious Store in the Main Church.
