We are pleased to announce that Sister Edith Marie, our former parishioner Zoey Lamborn, was received as Novice on May 28th! Sister Edith Marie's patron saint is Saint Edith Stein...whose religious name was Saint Teresa Benedicta of the Cross.
Edith Stein was a noted German philosopher who converted from Judaism to Catholicism. Later she entered the Carmelite Order. Edith Stein was martyred on August 9, 1942, in the Nazi Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland.
Sister Edith Marie is the daughter of parishioners Brett and Jennifer Lamborn and has a brother, Tyler, and a sister, Dru, all residing in Georgia.

Holy Orders are the sacrament of service and love that addresses the “order of the Church". This sacrament insures that the Church will act sacramentally, proclaiming the Gospel in word, sacrament, witness, and service.
